Very rare prospectus announcing the sale of David's painting offered at the gallery of Georges Petit, rue de Sèze in Paris on May 31, 1898. This painting, a duplicate of the original, is now kept at the Château de Versailles. This canvas, begun in 1808, was finished in Brussels, where David had found refuge, in 1822. - Very rare document, which comes in the form of 2 folio sheets folded in two (4 pp.), one printed, the other with a reproduction of the painting.
