Crucifix In Cut Crystal And Gilded Bronze, Charles X Period, Early 19th Century

Here is a sumptuous work from the first part of the 19th century, all from the Charles X period, finely executed. The angels and Christ are in gilded bronze, the base is in chocolate bronze, the rest in cut crystal. We note traces of glue and a chip to the left of Christ's halo, the angel on the right moves. Note oxidation of the metal, rusty screws. The whole remains in a generally acceptable but not perfect condition. Our photos allow you to appreciate the quality of the object.
