It represents a woman with an elegant bearing and harmonious features resting on a balustrade, in an arched, comfortable and sensual posture. She covers her smooth skin with vaporous fabrics that undulate and hug her body.

Emilio FIASCHI (1858-1941) also called Emiliano was born in Volterra. He studied from 1883 to 1885 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, where he spent most of his career. He is known for his marble and alabaster sculptures of naked women with an accentuation of the curves at the hips and waist. He died in Florence in 1941.
