"Alfred Bachmann, Oil On Canvas, Orientalist View"
Alfred Bachmann, German traveling painter (Dirschau 1863, Ambach 1956), active at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. The work we present perfectly represents the idealized vision of the Orient that the painters of this period brought us. This is a fantasized view with rich colors and hard light, mixing elements borrowed from Venetian, ancient, and Byzantine cultures. This painting is in perfect condition, only a cleaning was necessary. The gilded wooden frame is original, and has been restored. Dimensions with frame: 114 cm x 95 cm
