"Rare Property Office, In Walnut, Empire Period – Early 19th Century"
This walnut stepped desk has two drawers in the belt with fronts in walnut burl veneer. Each drawer is decorated with an original lock in working order, a key and a threaded entry. This piece of furniture rests on two columns at the front with a capital at the top and a collar at the bottom. These spindle-shaped columns widen towards the bottom. The rear legs are straight. The whole rests on a solid walnut base with a concave front. This one overhangs crushed ball feet. The upper part of this desk called stepped is composed of four drawers with brass pull rings. The lower drawers are equipped with original locks in working order, a key and a recessed threaded entry. Between the drawers we observe a tabernacle with a column.
