Dimensions without frame: 32 x 41 cm Gilded wooden frame Raoul André Ulmann is a French painter, born in Paris in 1867 and died in 1941. Painted Breton and Dutch seascapes and views of Paris. From 1907, he exhibited landscapes at the Société nationale des beaux-arts. He also exhibited with the Société nouvelle de peintres et de sculpteurs de Paris, chaired after 1905 by Auguste Rodin, at exhibitions in Paris and the United States. During his lifetime, the French State acquired several of his works, which were notably assigned to the Musée du Luxembourg, the Musée Bonnat in Bayonne, the Chamber of Deputies, and the Élysée Palace. He received the Puvis de Chavannes prize in 1931.
