"Vermeil Case With Its 4 Lancets Charrière, Vermeil Napoleon III"
Beautiful silver and vermeil case, complete with its 4 steel and brown tortoiseshell lancets. It is decorated with vermeil flower and scroll motifs, without wear, on a guilloche silver background. On the 4 lancets, one blade does not bear the Charrière signature, it is one of the 3 that are very oxidized. The fourth is perfect. Hinged closure and press stud perfectly functional.Boar's head and manufacturer hallmarks in a diamond, unidentifiable initials.
Please note:
Small nibbles on the tortoiseshell of the lancets 3 blades are oxidized.
A slight dent on the edge of the bottom of the box.
Superb condition, from the Louis-PhilippeNapoleon III period around 1850.
