Died in 1956 in Paris. 20th century, Marcel Cosson is a French Post-Impressionist painter. He exhibited first at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris, of which he became a member, honorable mention in 1901, third medal in 1911, then at the Salon of the National Society of Fine Arts and that of the Tuileries. He often treated subjects of opera, ballets, circus. He was a painter of women, of Parisian life, of the world of dance, of theater. (ref. Bénézit)
