Beautiful Quran holder from the Ottoman period from the Fitz-James collection. In 18 carat gold, with clasp, it is covered on one side with the name of Allah in Arabic letters in a setting of small diamonds and chiseled stylized scrolls. The other side also centered with the name of Allah in a surround of enameled motifs on a chiseled gold background. Bail with stylized floral decoration.
