Object description :

"Paris, 18th Century - Pair Of Gilt Bronze Wall Sconces, Louis XV Period."

Finely chiselled and gilded gilt bronze wall sconces in the Rococo style. The design features an intricate arrangement of vegetal interlacing, flowers, buds, and foliage, crowned by a rose motif at the top. The elegantly curved candle holders (binets) enhance the harmonious composition.

The mercury gilding, original to the period, shows some wear consistent with age.
