"Pair Of Directoire Period Candelabra."
Pair of two-light candelabra in patinated bronze and chased and mercury-gilded bronze. They have a stepped square base decorated on all sides, with an allegorical motif (grape harvest) on the front and diamonds on the sides and back. A woman draped in the antique style carrying two leafy branches forming the arms of light. French work from the Directoire period. End of the 18th century. Minor wear and tear to the gilding.
