Robert Delnest, born in
Mons, Belgium, is renowned for his contributions to monumental sculpture and
stylized Art Deco design. A graduate of the
Academy of Mons, where he trained under
Léon Gobert and
Paul Dubois, Delnest developed a career blending traditional influences from
Rodin and
Meunier with modernist aesthetics.
