"Faustin Besson, Galante Scene"
Faustin Besson was born in 1821 in Dole, in the Jura, and died in 1882 in Paris. He is known for his career with the Parisian aristocracy of the second half of the 19th century, as well as for some prestigious imperial commissions. He painted for the Empress Eugenie, and is also the author of the ceiling of the bedroom of the Tuileries Palace. The work we are presenting is a genre scene, largely inspired by the work of François Boucher. Dimensions with frame: 116 cm x 97 cm. This painting is in very good condition, and has been cleaned.
