Mandarin ducks are one of the most popular in Chinese art, well known and widely used as a traditional symbol of love. Mandarin ducks symbolize happiness, marital fidelity and are very sociable, flying in large flocks during the winter. Their pair bonds are very strong and they will return to the same partner if they survive.
