"Charles X Game Table"
Italian game table,in walnut with inlays, early nineteenth century
The top is decorated on the sides with floral inlays and
in the center with a chessboard.
By rotating it you can open and use a double support surface,
the interior has a leather oval with gold decoration on the edge and in the center.
The harp-shaped legs are enriched by a fretwork frieze,
the feet are joined at the bottom by a turned peg.
On the front a drawer with lock and working key.
The chessmen are in hand-painted metal,
they represent a Napoleonic army.
