"Small Mahogany Bookcase From The Directoire Period"
Very pretty little bookcase in mahogany and mahogany veneer from the end of the 18th century, beginning of the 19th century.It opens with two doors with full panels and two windows separated by a half-round in brass on an iron core.
Special hinges screwed on the sides allow the doors to open more than 180°.
It has its five original shelves bordered on the front with a mahogany molding.
The cornice is finely molded with an ogee and two protruding squares.
The whole rests on a base forming a plinth.
The doors close with a central half-round and a brass lock over the entire height.
Circa 1800.
Very pretty manufacture, of unusual dimensions and in perfect condition.
Internal dimensions of the shelves: width: 62 cm, depth: 27 cm.
