A Japy Freres French striking movement, on separate floral painted porcelain stand with serpentine sides, 15” high including the stand. the body with wide and narrow gilt edging, gilt laurel festoons with crossed bands on a gilt sphere, the facing side and the reverse with medallions containing polychrome painted bouquets of flowers on a white ground, the base of the body decorated with acanthus wreath, gilt beaded frieze, and crossed ribbons, round foot, the square plinth with gilt loops and 4 small feet, Height: 34,5 cm, KPM-Berlin, underglaze blue sceptre mark. This is in overall very good condition and the clock is in working order.
