History: Frédéric Flachéron born in Lyon on October 26, 1813 and died in Paris 6th on June 21, 1883, is a statuary and was one of the first primitive photographers who practiced in Rome. Born in Lyon, son of a famous architect, Jean François Charles André Flachéron, known as Count Frédéric Flachéron, entered the École royale des beaux-arts in Paris in 1836. He stayed in Rome, and became a friend of Ingres. He became with Giacomo Caneva one of the main leaders of the circle of photographers of the Caffè Greco. He died on June 21, 1883 and is buried in the Montparnasse cemetery.
