Large engraving portrait in full length and in majesty of King Louis XIV after the portrait of 1701 by Hyacinthe Rigaud, representing the monarch in coronation costume. The latter in an opulent decor presents all the attributes of the French Monarchy. The engraving or print is presented in a beautiful and large channel frame in gilded wood with gold leaf. The frame dating from the 1840s-50s, it makes our engraving an interesting historical object which was made "under the cloak" for legitimist Royalists during the reign of Louis Philippe or Napoleon III.
