"Jean Claude Duteil "pontrieux Cote d'Armor" (brittany Honfleur Trouville...)"
Jean Claude Duteil superb oil on canvas very bright as usual signed and located on the back autumn sun in pontrieux. Jean-Claude Duteil was born on January 1, 1950 on the banks of the Seine, in Bougival, homeland of the impressionists. This son of one of the "restorers" of the Louvre museum, chooses his subjects (like his illustrious predecessors) in modern life and pushes, to delight us, the study of the changing aspects of nature and movement and makes light the essential object of his painting, no dark colors, his pure tones are most attractive, a joy of life emerges from his work and makes it his interest and his success. Duteil was very young attracted to painting and he participated in his first Salon in Courbevoie at the age of thirteen. Through his mother, originally from Normandy, born in Le Havre, he knew the Normandy coast from childhood: Deauville, Trouville, Honfleur, etc. From Bougival to Honfleur, Duteil since his birth has followed in the footsteps of his illustrious elders: Monet, Sisley, Renoir etc. and like them he paints as often as possible from nature. After numerous exhibitions throughout France: Avignon, St Brieuc, Dinard, St Malo, Paris, Honfleur etc. Duteil entrusts his works to the Galerie JP Villain, near Avenue Matignon in Paris, which will open the doors to many major collections around the world. For many years, Duteil has been going to Japan several times a year for numerous personal exhibitions: Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo, Sendai, Ichinoseku, Chiba... His works are very successful there. Duteil is the heir to the great Impressionist tradition and his work bears within it eminently French qualities: charm, measure, balance.
