Small Pewter Wine Pitcher - Valais (wallis), 19th Century

Small pewter PITCHER with a shoulder shape, plinth foot, quarter-round cup and acorn thumb. It has a small gauging cone on the cup indicating the "correct measure" indicated by a colored arrow.
Hallmark of Joseph CASTEL and Jean ALVAZZI, partners in 1810.
Control hallmark with crowned F.

Hallmark of Joseph CASTEL: saltire arquebuses / (I).C.
Height: 16.3 cm.
VALAIS (WALLIS), Early 19th century.

In very good condition, a refill in the center of the bottom is however noted.
These pitchers were the wine measures of the Ancien Régimes
