"A 20th Century Bronze Signed Charles Sykes Spirit Of Ecstasy "
A 20th century silver plated bronze by Charles Sykes presenting the Spirit of Ecstasy is the name of the mascot that has adorned the radiator of the Rolls-Royce since 1911. The mascot is a creation of Charles Sykes, based on the actress and model Eleanor Thornton (1880-1915). The statue depicts a woman leaning forward, her arms outstretched behind her, her clothes spread out resembling wings.
