Object description :

"Isfahan Carpet, Hunting Scenes, 124 X 203 Cm, Hand-knotted Wool, Iran, Kadjar Dynasty, 19th Century"
Rare Isfahan with hunting scenes decoration, in good condition, work, in which we can read the whole history of the knotted carpet.
These are my favorite pieces, as the quality and beauty of the design are always there.
## Isfahan or Isfahan in fine wool hand-knotted for 560,000 knots per m2.
Piece knotted in the first part of the 19th century in Persia, Iran, under the Kadjar dynasty
(Qājār, Qadjar, Qajar, Persian: قاجار) is a Turkmen dynasty that reigned over Iran from 1786 to 1925.
Our model, although showing normal general wear, is nonetheless a sublime and rare artifact of Persian culture.
## Persian knot 70 knots by 10 cm wide 80 knots by 10 cm long Ivory cotton warp - double wefts in blue cotton - wool velvet
This piece measures 124 cm wide by 203 cm long.
Very fine decoration, very sophisticated field and border.
This type of Persian is considered the finest found in Iran.
The colors of natural origins mix orange tending towards brown, wine lees, blue and ivory, causing contrasts with striking blues.
The decoration of this piece takes up traditional colors and floral patterns that appear in the carpets of the 16th and 17th centuries and in mosques and palaces, on ancient ceramics from the Safavid period.
## We easily recognize in the interlacing palms, lotus flowers, almond flowers often knotted on these carpets.
The border is most sophisticated, as the arrangement of interlacing and flowers alternates with lotus flowers.
The braids, inside and outside, are adorned with small carnation flowers and meanders, motifs used in Persia (Iran) and Turkey.
The design of the animal scenes is specific to these carpets with elegant extensions in large pendants like halberds or blue halberds.
They are accompanied by pendants tied lengthwise, and the curve of the motifs and palms in the corners testify to great research.
Pile, selvedges, fringes in good condition, normal wear on a 19th century piece.
We find substantially the same designs in the Kashan and the old Tabriz from the same period.
We have great difficulty imagining the infinite patience that was required yesterday and is required today to create such beautiful pieces.
This type of carpet proves the artistic sense, fine, precise and acute, of the craftsmen of Isfahan.
The most beautiful carpets in the world often remain in terms of decoration, finish and beauty of the wool, the Isfahan.
Isfahan is the great city of art of Iran, even today and is still considered the oldest city in the world.
Under the reign of Shah Abbas, the fame of this city in the artistic sector was most important.
This city has produced very great artists, and some of the most beautiful carpets in the world.
This carpet has been professionally cleaned and ecologically.
