Rare carved granite stone representing an angel with outstretched wings. Granite is the most difficult stone to carve because it is a hard stone unlike easily sculptable white stones. This sculpture is in its found condition, a very old broken and missing wing tip. A ring on the back to hang it. Origin Limousin or Brittany. Period 16th or 17th century.
