"Spectacular Church Lectern - Late 17th Century"
Our lectern is made of carved wood and is large in size. It features a beautiful double-headed eagle with outstretched wings and claws resting on an orb. The latter is supported by a baluster column resting on a large tripod base. The eagle symbolically represents John, the apostle, whose writings most clearly testify to the Light and divinity of Christ. A work from the end of the 17th century. Height 220 cm by 65 cm wide and 48 cm deep. Good condition
