The base of the base rests on five feet with acanthus leaves. A proudly standing rooster is surrounded by two ink receptacles with lids in perfect condition, each with its original blown glass container (micro bubbles visible).
The signature A. Bossu is engraved behind the receptacle located opposite the rooster.
Late 19th century. Excellent condition of the set.
No cracks in the spelter.
Dimensions: Width 28 cm / Height 18 cm / Depth 17 cm
Note wear from use on one of the edges of a glass container: a slight chip probably made from removing it for cleaning and reinserting it on the edges of the metal receptacle (visible in photo 4, container on the right). This in no way detracts from the beauty of the set, which is otherwise very neat. Spelter is an alloy of tin or lead and antimony; metal used to imitate bronze because copper was requisitioned for the manufacture of ammunition in the 19th century.
