Condition
The statue remains in good overall condition with surface wear including pitting, chipping and scratching with a pale warm encrustation overall. The proper left leg drilled for insertion into a mount.
Description
A marble torso of Cupid showcasing intricate details and characterised by his chubby, soft, yet proportional body. Depicted with a delicate belly button and finely carved surface.
In Roman mythology, Cupid was the god of love, desire, and attraction. He is the son of Venus, and his father is thought to be either Vulcan or Mars. In the Greek pantheon, he is known as Eros, the god of love and lust.
