19th Century Terracotta Sphinge

Very attractive white terracotta with brown patina of a sphinx with a woman's head surmounted by a lover carrying a garland of roses. It rests on a black veined marble base. The female bust is reminiscent of the Sphinx of the Empress Maria FEODOROVNA or Mme De Pompadour or Marie-Antoinette.

Condition: very good. Slight chips and missing patina.
