JAPAN - Edo period (1603-1868). KABUTO composed of sixty-two riveted wrought iron slats. THEHEN NO ANA (opening at the top) in engraved copper with three degrees. SHIKORO (neck cover) with four degrees in black lacquered iron, blue silk braid (very slight losses). FUKIGAESHI (fins) of small size in black lacquered iron. MABI SA SHI (visor) in black lacquered wrought iron decorated with stylized eyebrows in relief, the interior lacquered red. MAETATE in carved and gilded wood representing a knotted sheaf. Half-mask of samurai called "MEMPO" in black lacquered wrought iron. Pronounced chin (slight accident), horsehair moustache, mobile nose, pierced nostrils and visible teeth lacquered in gold. Gorget with three degrees in black lacquered iron and blue silk (slight losses). Red interior lacquer (slight losses and accidents on the edge).
