Coffee table / magazine rack, "Java" model, circa 1955, top in "rigitulle" lacquered in light yellow-green, bordered by a square section gallery, lacquered tubular base, copper sabots.
This rare model is documented in several books on Mategot: Jousse Entreprise, Mathieu Matégot, Paris, 2003, pages 164 and 227 as well as Patrick Favardin, Mathieu Matégot, Paris, 2014, pages 66, 69 and 135.
In its vintage condition with traces of black paint and the metal visible in some places. The table can be re-lacquered at the request of the buyer in the color of his choice.
