"Portrait Of Louis Ferdinand Of France After M. Quentin De La Tour 18th Century"
This watercolor is from the 18th century, we are probably here in the second part of the 18th century, Louis XV-Louis XVI transition. The work is pleasing to the eye, it represents the portrait of Louis Ferdinand of France after Maurice Quentin de La Tour (1704-1788), French pastel portraitist. Louis of France, dauphin of Viennois, born September 4, 1729 at the Palace of Versailles and died December 20, 1765 at the Palace of Fontainebleau, is the eldest son of King Louis XV of France and Navarre, and his wife Marie Leszczynska. The work is not signed, however this portrait is of good quality. Note a label on the back where the name of the artist was indicated, but it is unfortunately illegible. The frame is later, from the 20th century, the back too. There is a protective tile. This watercolor remains presentable, note some tears in several places, as well as scratches, it is necessary to accept the defects due to age. You will note friction, traces, wear, in particular on the frame. For the condition, please detail the photos. The photos are an integral part of the description.
