Painter Linda Le Kinff lives in a poetic world. Ordinary images and scenes, such as a woman holding a flower or someone playing a guitar, are transformed by this artist into lush and colorful impressionistic fairy tales on canvas. Born in Paris in 1949 to a French father and a Brazilian mother, Le Kinff was immersed in the works of the masters of the School of Paris from an early age. Artists such as Matisse, Braque and Modigliani were her early inspirations, and she spent many years studying the Italian Renaissance and Baroque eras and the Old Masters while experimenting with a variety of media. Kinff attended the South Tyrolean Academy of Fine Arts in Brunico, but had already had his first exhibition in 1975, when he had his first major exhibition at the Galerie Hoche Saint-Honoré in Paris, and later that same year at the Festival du Marais, also in Paris. This multifaceted and multitalented artist has since exhibited all over the world.
