Oil on canvas by Emile GRAU I SALA entitled "The red and blue lamp" PARIS 1967. Born in Barcelona on 06/22/1911 and died in Paris on 06/21/1975. Born to artist parents, he studied at the Beaux Arts in Barcelona then moved to France where he was immersed in different impressionist movements such as Raoul Dufy or Pierre Bonnard). A renowned painter, theater designer, illustrator (notably, Les fleurs du mal, Madame Bovary, works by Colette, Proust etc...) His color palette is very fresh, very colorful and bright, we find in his paintings the influence of both countries. He is exhibited in many museums (Honfleur La Rochelle, Paris, Sceaux Buenos Aires etc...) This original work comes from a private collection.
