Silver Reliquary containing a Relic of Saint Paul of the Cross (ex Carne) + Episcopal Document (Coa) Beautiful 19th century Silver Reliquary containing a first class relic (ex.Carne) with its wax seal and intact threads, accompanied by its episcopal authenticity document signed on April 8, 1862 and coming from the Eclesiastical Congregation of the Holy Cross of the Passion DNJC in Tournai, Belgium. Description 19th century silver reliquary preciously containing a relic of Saint Paul of the Cross. The relic with its name in Latin is soberly placed on a red fabric background. The back of the reliquary opens to reveal the red wax seal and its red silk threads guaranteeing its authenticity. About Saint Paul of the Cross, born in 1694 and died in 1775 in Rome in the Papal States, was an Italian priest, mystic and ardent preacher of the Passion of Christ. He is the founder of the Congregation of the Passion of Christ (the “Passionists”). Condition Good condition. The threads and the wax seal are intact.
