"Monumental Ciborium Dated 1889 "

An exceptional piece of museum quality, this neo-Gothic ciborium in gilded brass.
Our canopy is decorated with numerous glass beads and is richly decorated. It is the work of Master Goldsmith FAVIER fils on a design by Bordeaux architect Jean-Jules MONDET.
Their names are engraved at the base of two of the columns.
Exceptional dimensions of 295 cm on a square base of 56 cm. The width at the canopy is 66 cm.
Some missing parts - Gilding in good condition. Definitely a cathedral piece.
