PEWTER with shoulder, short flared foot, quarter-round goblet and acorn thumb.
Clear hallmark of Jean-Paul CARAMEL received master before 1800.
Height: 16.5 cm.
CASTRES, Extreme end of the 18th century or beginning of the 19th century

Very rare provenance in perfect condition
Second example encountered in almost 50 years of "frequentation" of old pewter ...
Very good condition of conservation, cast defects are however reported visible under the lid.
These pitchers were the wine measures of the Ancien Régime and are very often the central theme of pewter collections.
