M., meaning Saint Maximilian Martyr. A small relic is fixed in the center with a silver wire. On the back the bishop's red wax seal and its red silk threads guarantee its authenticity. About Born in North Africa, he was the son of a veteran of the Roman army. At 21, he was forcibly recruited into the Roman imperial army, but refused to serve, declaring: I cannot be a soldier, because I am a Christian. For his refusal to bear arms and swear an oath to the emperor, he was sentenced to death and executed by beheading on March 12, 295. He is venerated as a martyr of the faith and an example of Christian non-violence. He is often invoked as the patron saint of conscientious objectors and pacifists. This relic is well attributed to him, so it represents a testimony of faith and resistance to oppression. Condition Very good condition. The threads and the wax seal are intact.
