"St Vincent Reliquary "
Silver-plated metal reliquary containing a Relic of Saint Vincent Martyr ( ex Ossibus ) + Episcopal document (Coa) 20th century Theca reliquary containing a first class relic ( ex.Ossibus ) with its wax seal and intact threads, accompanied by its episcopal authenticity document signed on October 27, 1909 by the agent of Gustave Joseph Waffelaert (1847-1931 ) Bishop of Bruges in Belgium. Description 19th century circular silver-plated metal Theca reliquary preciously containing the relics under glass of Saint Maximilian. The interior is decorated with a fabric background, adorned with a red and white pattern representing symmetrical stylized elements. A handwritten label in Latin indicates Sancti Maximil. M., meaning Saint Maximilian Martyr. A small relic is attached to the center with a silver thread. On the back the bishop's red wax seal and its red silk threads guarantee its authenticity. About Saint Vincent, deacon of Saragossa in Spain, was martyred at the beginning of the 4th century under the persecution of the emperor Diocletian. Faithful companion of Bishop Valère, he was arrested and subjected to terrible torture for refusing to renounce his Christian faith. Despite the suffering, he remained steadfast, which inspired many believers. Finally, he died a martyr around the year 304. His cult spread quickly throughout the Church, and he is today venerated as the patron saint of winegrowers and deacons. Condition Very good condition. The threads and the wax seal are intact.
