"View Of The City Of Hyères, Early 19th Century "
Interesting view of the old town of Hyères, made at the beginning of the 19th century, in pen and ink wash on paper. The traveling artist who made this real document is skillful: we see in the heights the collegiate church of Saint Paul with its characteristic chevet, and the point of view brings out picturesque details of the old architecture of the south. The frame, modest, is from the 60s, it bears an old bronze label marked "Hyènes 1832". A little yellowed, but in a good state of conservation.
