Charming cast iron fireback dating from the 18th century, decorated with a finely carved gallant scene featuring several characters in period dress. The frame is decorated with refined floral motifs, testifying to the craftsmanship of this period. An inscription at the bottom, to be deciphered, adds a mysterious and historical character to this unique piece.
