Reliquary Frame containing four Agnus-dei from the 19th century - France Description Beautiful religious work in a blackened and gilded wooden frame with a green fabric background in hand-painted paper The background is richly decorated with gilded floral motifs in filigree, forming arabesques and stylized flowers with the paperolles technique very popular in religious art The central Crucifix represents Jesus crucified, painted in relief, with traces of red color symbolizing blood. Four Agnus-dei medallions at the corners representing Saints and a wax Cross. All sealed under protective glass. Inscription "INRI" on the cross: Latin acronym for "Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum" ("Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews"), a classic mention on crucifixes.
