This lithograph “Paysages Parisiens - Le Pont des Saints-Pères et Le Louvre” is signed Henri Rivière and bears a red stamp stamp at the bottom right (barely visible). The work is authentic and old. For the condition, note in the margin slight folding marks, small stains in places. On the lithograph, we report small stains in the sky. The lithograph is very fresh in color, once framed most of the defects will be barely visible. Sold as presented. Henri Rivière (1864-1951) is a French painter, engraver and illustrator. He began his career with drawing then with intaglio engraving and specifically etching in 1882. At the same time, he began a career as a director and scenographer, in 1886, of the shadow theater at the Chat Noir cabaret, shows that he improved by creating very innovative color sets. He then devoted himself exclusively to painting and engraving and made his mark in the history of etching, printmaking, woodcuts, lithography and watercolor (he painted about a thousand watercolors).
