Born in 1846 in Cherbourg, in the Channel, René TENER settled very young in L'Isle-Adam in the Val-d'Oise. Very precocious in Painting. From the age of seven, he attended the School of Fine Arts in Paris, he became the student and friend of Corot, Jules Dupré, and Daubigny. He signed his works René TENER Then Renet-Tener. In 1870, at the age of 25, he exhibited at the Paris Salon, on the banks of the Oise and Normandy. He was also Mayor of L'Isle-Adam in 1904. These works are exhibited at the museum of Cherbourg, Laé, and L'Isle-Adam. He died in 1925
