Cherry Desk Table From the Directoire Period.

Charming lady's desk or large cherry writing table dating from the end of the Directoire to the beginning of the 19th century.
It opens with two large drawers on the front with original keys, locks and keyholes.
The drawers slide perfectly.
It rests on 4 very elegant barrel legs.
These legs are intact without grafts and have a turned ring at the base simulating a Louis XVI sabot.
The top is made up of only two cherry boards and has a molding around the edge.
This desk is all-sided and can be placed in the middle of a room.
The cherry patina is blond and warm, only waxed.
The desk has not suffered from worm attack, it has been treated preventively in the workshop.
A very pretty lady's desk, a large all-sided writing table with an ideal height for working.
