Rare and exceptional half-moon Directoire Neo-Classical style sideboard from the end of the 18th century, French at support height in very good condition. This beautiful, elegant and functional bright piece of furniture is carefully made and very practical: composed of a central body with double doors, opening generously onto two sturdy and beautiful shelves, with the motif of the urn vase in a diamond-shaped marquetry nets all in very finely inlaid ebony, on its curved doors with ebony and bronze net frames like the diamond, four drawers of the same motif, the two extreme ones of which pivot (for cutlery), and the two practical niches with three sturdy trays to present the beautiful dishes of use. Its remarkable veined gray-pink marble top bordered with a period fillet and in perfect condition, giving the touch of preciousness of this remarkable piece of furniture. The sturdy legs (2 front and 4 back) and trapezoidal sheath finished with bronze sabots, whose vertical uprights have fine ebony threads. To finish the discreet hinges with flanges and the delicate lock entries accompanied by their beautiful keys with openwork chiseled bronze heads. In short, a presentation piece of furniture with a beautiful effect from the very end and sobriety of the Directoire, of absolute classicism and elegance in good original condition and of a confusing blondness like the lemon tree veneer.
