A large and beautiful Empire clock by Pierre-Victor Ledure (1783-1870) and Thomas H. Dimensions: 50 x 57 H x 20 cm Pierre-Victor Ledure (1783-1870) Ledure, born in Paris in 1783, was a student of the famous bronzier André-Antoine Ravrio (1759-1814). He received many important commissions during the Empire period and has received several Medals for his work. Today, examples of his work can be found in many important private and public collections, including the Museo de Reloges in Jerez de la Frontera, the Palais Vienna in Madrid, the Royal Pavilion in Brighton and also the British Embassy in Paris. Thomas was active as a clockmaker in Paris in the rue de Bucy from 1806. He worked with well-known bronziers such as Galle, Thomire and Ledure.
