Very beautiful and rare Koufiya, Tunisian conical headdress worn by Jewish women of notables and patriarchs in cotton, gold embroidery and pompom at the end. Also called Ras or Tadj chéchia. It is also worn in Algeria and Morocco where it is exhibited by Arab-Berber women during major ritual festivals. The top of the headdress is decorated with a bouquet of fine cylindrical pearls.
