Born in Antwerp in 1858, Louis Adolphe Tessier was French genre scenes painter.
He studied at the Beaux-Arts in Paris and continued his training in the studio of Jean-Léon Gérôme. He exhibited at the Salon of French Artists in Paris, of which he became a member in 1905, obtaining an honorable mention in 1886, a third class medal in 1909.
