"Large Gilt Sterling Silver Wwii Cigarette Case With Engine-turned Design, 130 G"

Vintage gilt sterling silver cigarette case dating to the WWII period. Rectangular body with bevelled chamfered edges is engraved all over with an Art Deco design of engine-turned panels alternating with polished linear bands. The interior of the case is sumptuously gilded and retains the original band.

Perfect size to be used as a card case, or a very fashionable wallet with plenty of space both for business cards and banknotes.

Made by R N Hollings & Co and fully assayed for Birmingham, 1945
