Djoval Turkmen Yomouth wool, circa 1940-50. Very good condition. Tending to become rare.

Beautiful Turkmen Yomouth satchel that served as a carrying bag during the travels of the tribes. The main Turkmen and Uzbek tribes are the Yomouths, Salors, Béchirs, and Tekkes.
A lot of attention was paid to the making of this satchel, on both sides. Two techniques used: the worked parts are in soumak and the plain parts are in kilim. Note: a small hole on the plain part, in front, at the bottom, on the left (see photo).
